People who know me knows that I’m not fond of tea; green tea, milk tea, black tea etc. I’m more fond of coffee than tea, but today’s experience made me see tea in a new perspective. And that my friends, would be my Tokyo Bubble Tea experience.
I tried out their food (and of course, tea) in one of their branches in The Fort, followed in SM Megamall. Their Megamall branch’s located near the food court and the open area that used to be the skating rink.

And here’s what I had earlier: a good meal for two~ What’s good about this food is it’s all healthy. Tokyo Bubble Tea uses all natural Olive Oil that’s good for the body. Heck, I can eat heaps of these if not for my stupid gym regimen I need to follow. Oh well, rest day is a rest day anyway~

And here’s what changed my tea perception: the Strawberry milk tea and JCC iced coffee. Not shown in the pic is the Tokyo Bubble Tea’s flag product Royal Milk Tea. TBT brews their own tea. I’m not fond of sweet stuff but this has captured my taste.
For the price, it’s a new door to my wallet as you get what you pay for. It’s one good experience if you enjoy an afternoon filled with pastel colored tea. :D
It’s hard being a family man: you have to shoulder the challenges that life has to throw to you, to some extent, that you even stumble down on your knees. At some point, there’s the easy way out of calling it quits and giving up, but what hurts you makes your skin thicker, makes you stronger as you recover from those bruises. The deciding factor lies on the weight placed on your shoulders. The people who believes what you can do. Those who rely on you everyday, and those who see you as an inspiration.
This weight makes the family man who he/she is, through out the hardships he/she may encounter day in, day out.
Bit by bit, torn apart, we never win but the battle rages on, like toy soldiers.

I remember my Political Science class way back in 2004 when we had a pop quiz with the roles/functions of the government. I can still recall my answer back then:
The government should be able to provide goods and services for the well-being of the society as a whole, such as infrastructure, healthcare programs, disaster relief, public parks and utilities, subsidized housing, public education and security for the people.
Such is the role of the government, if I must say. It has a lot of function and machinery used to make it work, and for it to be able to provide to the people, it must also come down to those who make it churn on the inside: public officials.
Public Officials are duly elected by the people who believe that they can represent them in the government, are people with credibility and have outstanding values in reaching out for their countrymen in times of calamity and such.

Is this “public service” at its best?
Surely there must be a reason for this to have been posted, but rather than “reaching out”, the photo shows deceit towards those in need. Credit goes to the owner of this blog site http://www.notoffline.com/blog/dpwh-photoshop-fail/ as this is where I got the photo.
Kudos to those volunteers who take time helping out the victims of the recent storms that have passed, and not those who are in the position to help out but then again, chose to photoshop instead.
Just my two centavos.
Wondering why it’s in reverse? Because I’ve just had a good breakfast experience at Pan De Amerikana located at Katipunan Ave., Quezon City. The place itself is easy to spot as it sports an inverted house to catch your attention.

Once inside, you’d be greeted by a warm, homey feel and inverted furniture typical of a 1930’s house, complete with a mock piano.

The interior’s more of a garden restaurant, simple yet classy design. The menu is a straightforward karinderia-ish appeal; affordable, down right Filipino cuisine and served with a cup of joe (lunch does not offer the free coffee).

The food

I took the tapa, while Leah took the Ilocano Longanisa. The taste? Feels just right at home. After playing a quick round of Robot Unicorn Attack, I ordered an extra Tuna sandwich which suits perfectly for my appetite until lunch.
Also, what’s nice about this place is that, they offer free WiFi connection to their customers. This is actually good if you’re studying or working on a thesis, or even when you’re doing business with a client or so. The place does not have any service charge or anything which comes down to an excellent customer service. If you’re up for a nice place to cram and study, I’ll recommend you to this place for that matter.
